As you move further into the 14th it becomes much more calm and residential with commerce and business along its main arteries heading south.
The area of Denfert Rochereau is a popular gathering for demonstrations as it forms the crossroads of the main arteries. Otherwise, it is a calm labyrinth of one way streets.
Apartments
Rents are reasonable and there is a good community feel. There is a mixture
of traditional architecture to the north and more modern in the south. Apartments
can be found in all shapes and sizes.
The 14th is Paris’ gateway to the south and thus has good access to the ring road and Orly airport and, in addition, well serves the southern business and industrial districts.
The Montsouris park, in its south-eastern corner, is the largest of the 14th few parks. The somewhat limited amount of green space has not put off young families.
