Curriculum Offered
We broadly follow the British curriculum.
Nursery pupils (aged 4-6) attend two sessions of 2.5 hours per week.
Primary pupils (aged 6-11) attend one session of 2.5 hours per week.
All pupils attend local French schools the rest of the week.
School History
Open Doors was established twenty years ago to provide education in English to bilingual or English-speaking children growing up in France and attending French schools. The aim was and is to offer an English classroom environment in which our pupils develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in English Although it is now a school of between 80 and 90 pupils employing five fully-qualified teachers, a teaching assistant and an administrator it maintains its warm, friendly and caring atmosphere.

What is Unique about this School
Open Doors offers children the opportunity to attend local schools AND be schooled in English. Our pupils benefit from being part of their local French community AND belonging to an English-speaking community. At the end of their primary schooling most of our pupils are accepted into bilingual secondary school programmes
